My daughter is struggling with constant fall allergies. She is 36 and never seems to be getting any relief. Do you have any suggestions on how to get this corrected naturally?

Dear Sami,

Allergies can be extremely annoying and challenging to our day-to-day routines. I know first hand. As a teenager, I had extreme allergies and received allergy shots up to twice per week and it was a challenge to my everyday routine. For many years the pediatrician worked to figure out what was causing these severe allergies. Finally, I got into healthy clean eating and bodybuilding. As an athlete I began working out to build a more muscular physique to perform better in football, wrestling, etc. During that process of changing my lifestyle from moderate healthy eating (Moderate because my mother always made sure I had great meals with vegetables…even when I really didn’t want it…thanks Mom!) to very clean health-nut style of eating, I noticed something amazing. The allergies that I struggled with for years were starting to go away. I couldn’t believe it! I started to notice when I eliminated grains and cow’s dairy from my eating routine. When I came off milk in my quest of clean eating and bodybuilding, I realized that the allergies completely went away.

Gone. Permanently. And no more shots. Was it that easy? Really? Milk?

Yes it was that easy. Not everyone will have these kind of food allergy triggers such as I did. However we are what we eat. Typically there are chemicals or foods that we introduce to our bodies each day that can cause many of the allergy symptoms that we experience for empowering your health

When dealing with allergies there are several tips that I later learned and have used clinically to see many do very well from many of these challenging symptoms. The great news for you is there are solutions. You don’t always have to suffer from the occasional allergies or even the chronic. Realize there are areas of our bodies that could be potentially compromised and causing these allergy-type symptoms.

Here are 5 natural allergy solutions to help you win the battle with seasonal or even chronic allergies.

1.Remove The Top Food Allergens
Many people can handle milk products and most grains such as wheat. However, many also have low-grade allergies to these foods. What happens is that we develop an excessive histamine response to these inflammatory foods. That is when we tend to react to every particle of pollen, cat dander, and chemical smell. Remove these foods for 8 weeks and then introduce one of them back for a week. See how you feel. Then introduce the other. See if there is any form of reaction.

2.Increase Hydrochloric Acid
Hydro what? I hear that on my nationally syndicated radio show often. We all have hydrochloric acid in our stomach to help break down our foods. HCL as we call it, is vital for proper digestion and helping our bodies utilize the foods we take in every day. As we age, we tend to lose how much HCL is in our digestive system. Stress can also affect this. You can increase HCL with our simple digestive support kit that contains betaine hydrochloric acid. Most acid reflux is due to not having enough HCL in our system.

3.Consider Raw Honey
This is as grandma medicine as it gets. But it works so well. There is a theory that vaccines were founded on called “like cures like.” Natural Homeopathy was founded on this same principle. When we give the body a very small amount of the actual substance that we are allergic to, then we actually can help prevent it from affecting us further. We build a resistance. When we eat local, raw, unheated honey from our surrounding community, then we are adding to our body what we typically are reacting to. This in turn helps our body to resist. And the honey tastes great!

4.The Wonders of Apple Cider Vinegar
My dear friend Patricia Bragg walked me around her beautiful farm in Santa Barbara in California and told me the wonders she and her father Paul saw with their legendary apple cider vinegar. One of the many benefits is the ability for it to stimulate more HCL in the stomach. Two tablespoons is enough each day mixed with about 8 ounces of distilled water.

5.Get Your Rest
When we lose sleep and our immune system becomes worn we can be open to lower functioning levels of digestion. When this happens it causes our histamine response to become elevated. Get your 7-9 hours to ensure that your body is at its peak and the allergies can stay at bay.
